Cartridge Filter Cleaning will take place every 4-6 months as needed. This allows for your pool to filter properly over a long period of time.
Cartridge filters will be cleaned every 4-6 months as needed. Once the filter reaches above 24 PSI we will open and inspect them. If they need to be cleaned we will notify the client, send them pictures, and request a cleaning date.
In the event of cartridge filters being old and beaten up, cleaning them doesn’t do much. Cartridges have a life of about 3-5 years if cleaned every 4-6 months. The more often they are cleaned, the quicker the need to be replaced to keep you pool crystal clear!
High PSI is a result of dirty, clogged filters. The PSI raises because it gets harder and harder for water to pass through them due to the filters being clogged with debris. This is why we inspect all filter cartridges whenever the PSI passes 20.
